Duncan Forrester is the Founder and Principal Consultant of ForresterPR Ltd.
He is an award-winning, globally experienced, PR and Communications leader with over 30 years in the automotive industry, 20 years' expertise in PR and Communications and, uniquely, the experience of creating a globally-coordinated Public Relations and Communications function for an electric vehicle start up brand - Polestar. He's a recognised expert in developing the perception, and protecting the reputation, of global premium, luxury, performance, start up and electric car brands.
As a member of the Executive Management Team of Polestar, Duncan Forrester was Global Vice President and Head of PR and Communications, and the communications architect for Polestar's disruptive, non-traditional launch and communication strategy for the new brand and its first two products, from a blank sheet of paper. From pre-launch, through a two-year, worldwide programme of media communications and customer event activity, he developed the awareness of the new Polestar brand.
Having sought, and never found, a specialised start up and electric vehicle agency, ForresterPR was created. The consultancy builds on the unique insights and experiences of developing a new car company, and is supported by a global team of operational media relations experts. ForresterPR was also created to deliver big agency thinking but with small boutique consultancy agility and cost.
Alongside Polestar, Duncan Forrester has worked in senior management positions for some of the world's most recognisable car manufacturers including McLaren, BMW and Volvo. Outside of the automotive industry, he has also supported large lifestyle, sporting and luxury brands such as JP Morgan, Ben Ainslie Racing, The America's Cup World Series, Princess Motor Yacht Sales and Scorpion powerboats.
